That was the last time I saw the Brazilian sky – the last time in the next semester. The butterflies in my stomach insisted on to fly, and I stayed anxious on the flight. I left São Paulo, south-east of Brazil, and now I am in the capital of United States of America: Washington D.C. Here, over the next semester, I’ll participate of academic seminars and internship, everything related to my field of study: Journalism and Communication.

Bye Bye Brazil - see you in May!
I was student of a university in my country, and I arrived here thanks to The Washington Center, that provides academic seminars and internships. Here, I intend to get more professional knowledge – and why not personal knowledge? – to apply in my life. To live with people that I’ve never seen, with different cultures, will be very good, I’m sure!
In this blog, I’m going to write about my permanence in this city, my studies and my internship. I hope to change experiences with other students, add knowledge to my profession and get back to Brazil with a full luggage – full of stories to tell!!!

A beautiful image of Washington D.C.
